The Lee laboratory and department provides a stimulating, supportive and interactive environment ideal for self-motivated individuals wishing to pursue a career in academia. The laboratory is well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources to provide outstanding training opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Trainees will be well positioned for academic career.
Applications for post-doctoral fellows are accepted on a continual basis. Applicants with strong backgrounds in virology, immunology, biochemistry and/or structural biology are encouraged to contact the PI by email (jeff.lee@utoronto.ca). Graduate students
Graduate training opportunities are available through the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology (LMP) at the University of Toronto. Prospective students should consult the LMP graduate program for details on the admissions process. Interested students are encouraged to contact the PI directly. The applicant should include their CV and a cover letter describing their research interests, career goals, and relevant research training.
Undergraduate research training opportunities for LMP and students from other departments are available through a number of mechanisms, such as a LMP 4th year research project, workstudy program or the LMP Summer Research Program. Students are expected to have strong work ethic and be committed to pursuing research in our lab. Preference will be given to upper-year students enrolled in specialist programs, such as Biochemistry, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Strong candidates will also have lab experience. Interested students are always welcome to contact the PI directly.
